How do I get my ticket?
The major airlines offer E-ticket (electronic ticket receipts) only. Please take a copy of the E-ticket with you to the airport. The day of departure you just go to the check-in counter of the pertinent airline and your boarding pass will be issued upon presenting your passport and any other required documents.

When do I receive my travel documents?
Upon payment the ticket will be issued and you will receive an e-mail from us containing the electronic ticket receipt. The E-ticket contain several things to include your flight itinerary, flight details, flight duration etc. the weather at your destination etc.
How late can I book a flight?
In many cases a booking is possible up to 24 hours to departure.

Online bookings are possible 48 hours prior to departure ONLY.
How do I book from the USA?
Of course you can book flights and buy tickets also if you do not live in Germany.
You have the option of booking online at www.usdtravel.eu. Please consider that the online booking will not work for departures less than 48 hours.

- Last/First Name (matching the passport)
- Date of birth
- Telephone number
How do I book flights for pets?
Each airline has different rules and prices for pets flying with you. Please contact the chosen airline or our office for your individual case.
The procedure is as follows:
USDTravel generates the booking for you with flight details and airline reference code. Please contact the airline with the reference code and register your pet prior to ticket purchase. Upon confirmation get back with USDTravel in order to finalize the ticket process.
Please note that in months with high temperatures, usually between 15 May and 15 September a PET EMBARGO may apply. During that period this means, that airlines refuse boarding any kind of pet not in cabin.

How do I book unaccompanied minor (UMNR)?
It is possible to book flights for unaccompanied minors.
Airlines have very strict rules for this process and the price is identical with an individual adult fare, on top of that an escort fee needs to be paid. USDTravel reserves the flight, the registration of the escort service is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
Please be prepared to provide the following information to the airline:
- Name of the person dropping the child off, including the complete address and phone number
- Name of the person picking him/her up, including the complete address and phone number
What is the procedure for Cancellation before Departure?
We will need a written notice by email if you want to cancel your flight before departure to avoid to be considered a so called "No-Show“ with the airline.
A "NO SHOW" usually prevents a refund.
What is the Process for Ticket Changes/Cancellations?
Military discounted tickets are subject to a date change or cancellation a fee. Fees vary dependent on the airline. Please contact USDTravel for further details and cost.
In accordance with the stipulations of the tariff a change or cancellation needs to be arranged prior to departure. Depending on the airline the refund process usually takes 2-4 weeks.
Domestic flights in the US as well as flights within Europe are subject to special conditions and often non-refundable.
How do I arrange for Special Services?
We want to arrange your travel as comfortable as we can. We have direct access to the airlines or consolidators and can register different services directly.
For example:
- special meal requests
- escort at the connecting airport
- Wheelchairs, etc.
How do i pickup my boarding pass?
One option is the online check in 23 hours prior to departure on the airlines website, you will then have the option to print your boarding passes or pick them up at the check in counter the following day at the airport.
Please pick up your boarding passes at the check in desk of the airline 2,5 hours before departure. You will need your passport as identification.
How do I make seat arrangements?
Once you received your Travel Plan/ETIX you are able to log on to the airlines website.
You can log in by simply entering your Airline Reservation Code and Last Name which will retrieve your booking. Please make your own seat selections bases on availability.
What is the Baggage Allowance on International Flights?
- Carry-on Baggage
- Weighs less than 8 kilos.
- Does not exceed 45 inches when you total length plus width plus height.
- Fits in an overhead bin or underneath the seat in front of you.
- Checked Baggage
Most airlines allow one checked bag per passenger free of charge with the following restrictions:
- Not to exceed 50 lbs. or 23 Kilos
- Not exceed 62 inches and 158 centimeters
